Which data is stored and how and what happens with it?
Dear visitor,
I am Helmut Neumark and as the responsible operator of this website and all our employees take the protection of your personal data very seriously and we strictly adhere to the current European General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the rules of German Data Protection Laws.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always on a voluntary basis, as far as technically possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We use a secure protocol on our website, but point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) may be subject to security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Scope of application
This data protection declaration informs users about the type, scope and purposes of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible operator (hereinafter referred to as “provider”) on this website (hereinafter referred to as “offer”).
The legal basis of data protection can be found in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Access data/server log files
The provider (or his web space provider) collects data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files). Access data includes: Name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.
The provider uses the protocol data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of the offer. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data subsequently if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete indications.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes your name, email address or telephone number. But also data about interests, memberships or which websites were viewed by someone counts as personal data. Personal data are only collected, used and passed on by the provider if this is legally permitted or if the users agree to the data collection.
Contacting
When contacting the provider (for example via contact form or e-mail), the user’s details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.
Registration function
The data entered during registration will be used for the purpose of using the offer. Users can be informed by e-mail about information relevant to offers or registration, such as changes to the scope of offers or technical circumstances. The data collected can be clearly seen in the input mask during registration.
Comments and contributions
When users leave comments on the blog or other posts, their IP addresses are stored. This takes place for the security of the provider, if someone writes illegal contents in comments and contributions (insults, forbidden political propaganda, etc.). In this case, the provider himself can be prosecuted for the comment or contribution and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.
Comment subscriptions
Users can subscribe to the follow-up comments. Users will receive a confirmation email to verify that they are the owner of the email address they entered. Users can unsubscribe from ongoing comment subscriptions at any time. The confirmation email will contain notes.
Right of information, revocation and correction
The user has the right, upon request and free of charge, to receive information about the personal data stored about him.
If the user has provided us with personal data, he may have these deleted at any time, unless we are obliged by legal retention periods, for example for accounting or tax purposes, to store these data for a prescribed period. These data will be deleted immediately after expiry of the storage period. The user can of course have incorrectly entered data corrected at any time.
You can exercise your right of revocation and correction at any time in writing to us or simply via our contact form.
Integration of third-party services and content
It may happen that third party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter “third party providers”) perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the contents. However, we have no influence on this if the third party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know, we inform the users about this. Furthermore, we have no influence on whether third party providers to whom we link comply with the data protection regulations.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that enable the user’s access device (PC, smartphone, etc.) to store specific information relating to the device. They serve on the one hand the user-friendliness of web pages and thus the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they are used to collect statistical data on the use of the website and to analyse it for the purpose of improving the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option with which the storage of cookies is restricted or completely prevented. However, it is pointed out that the use and especially the comfort of use are limited without cookies.
You may manage many online ad cookies from companies via
the US-American site https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
or the EU site https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/
Matomo Analysis
This offer uses Matomo (formerly: Piwik), an open source software for statistical analysis of user access. Matomo uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on the user’s computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this offer is stored on the server of the provider in Germany. The IP address is made anonymous immediately after processing and before it is stored. Users may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser, however, the provider points out to users that in this case they may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
Facebook Social Plugins
This offer uses social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins can be recognized by one of the Facebook logos or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and appearance of Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When a user accesses a website on this site that contains such a plugin, his browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website. The provider therefore has no influence on the extent of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs users according to their level of knowledge.
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives information that a user has called up the corresponding page of the offer. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his Facebook account. When users interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the Like button or making a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to obtain and store their IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the relevant rights and setting options for the protection of users’ privacy, can be found in Facebook’s data protection information: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
This offer uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons are provided by Twitter Inc, 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They are recognizable by terms such as “Twitter” or “sequence”, combined with a stylized blue bird. With the help of the buttons it is possible to share a post or page of this offer on Twitter or to follow the provider on Twitter.
When a user accesses a website on this website that contains such a button, his browser establishes a direct connection to Twitter’s servers. The content of the Twitter button is transmitted directly from Twitter to the user’s browser. The provider therefore has no influence on the amount of data Twitter collects with the help of this plugin and informs users according to their level of knowledge. After this only the IP address of the user the URL of the respective web page is transmitted with the purchase of the Buttons, but not for other purposes, than the representation of the Buttons, used.
Further information can be found in the Twitter data protection declaration at www.twitter.com.
The XING Share Button from XING AG (Dammtorstrase 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany) is used on this offer. XING does not store any personal data of the user by calling up this offer and, in particular, no IP addresses. There is also no evaluation of the usage behaviour via the use of cookies in connection with the “XING Share Button”. Users can call up the latest data protection information on the “XING Share Button” on this website: www.xing.com
Map services
This offer uses Google Maps API, a map service of Google Inc. “(“Google”), to display an interactive map and to create maps. By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may transfer the information obtained through the maps to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Nevertheless, it would be technically possible for Google to identify at least individual users on the basis of the data received. It is possible that personal data and personality profiles of users of the Google website could be processed for other purposes over which we have and cannot influence. You can disable the Google Maps service to prevent data transfer to Google by disabling JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the map display on our site.
Google Maps is operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. You can find more information on data protection at Google Maps under the following link: https://www.google.com/intl/en_US/help/terms_maps.html.
Updating
Due to current circumstances we will – if necessary – update this data protection declaration.
